If You Are Not a Mason
Freemasonry welcomes members from all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Before you can join the Scottish Rite, you must first become a Master Mason in a Lodge which is a part of a Grand Lodge recognized by the Conference of Grand Masters in North America ( COGMINA).
For further information, visit BeAFreemason.org or contact your local Virginia Scottish Rite Body to assist in locating a suitable Masonic Lodge.
If You Are a Blue Lodge Mason
Contact your local Virginia Valley for more information and a petition
To join the Scottish Rite you must:
Be a Master Mason in good standing in a COGMINA lodge;
Complete a petition and include the appropriate fee; and
Attend a “Reunion” where the Scottish Rite Degrees are conferred.
